The elongated oval tiger’s-eye held in naturalistically formed palmettes creating a navette shaped mount.
French marks and signed L.GARDEY to the shank.
Currently a size G 1/2 (US - 3 1/2) but can easily be adjusted up to L-M (US 6 1/2), possibly beyond
Little is known of Monsieur Gardey, even though he has a four page entry in “The Paris Salons, 1895-1914” a two-volume book of French jewellery designers , by Alastair Duncan. The quality of design and craftsmanship shown in this ring is a clear testament to his skill
