Two gold rings
Of indeterminate age, likely antique, I initially thought they were Celtic (750BC to 43AD) but now am unsure what period they come from.
What they are is very tactile, having a lovely colour and texture from how they were wrought. The larger has tool marks at the ends and the smaller with small dot indents at the sides.
They fit together or can be worn separately
27.8 grams and 14.3 grams
Currently fit finger size O (US 7) but can be coiled/uncoiled to fit
Larger £2400
Smaller £1235
(Roughly 25% over today’s scrap price, 17th April 2025)
XRF tested as approximately 21ct gold,
